GUIDED EDUCATION PATHWAYS

At Ohana, we believe that every child learns differently – to meet the needs of every child, Ohana is a different sort of online school. From our virtual classrooms, equipped with the latest technology to enhance your child’s learning, through to a personalised curriculum and bespoke mentoring, this is a learning done differently. We follow the national curriculum, but we create a bespoke educational programme for each child. We also help children prepare for adulthood in a way that works best for them.
These flexible, personalised learning experiences adapt to the individual. We work this way because we know that when children are supported to learn in their own way, they’re empowered to thrive – in school and beyond – and they find their unique.

For children living in the UK and beyond, we offer a 100% online learning programme with an innovative approach to the national curriculum. Using cutting edge immersive techniques we empower children to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

For children who have been out of education for a prolonged period. A bespoke learning programme, that includes hybrid blended learning can provide the pathway to a successful reintegration. We work with mainstream schools, SEN Units and colleges.

For children who are on roll at a school, they may or may not be attending/engaging. We aim to help transition these young people back into full-time education in a school environment.

WHAT MAKES OHANA SO DIFFERENT

Cutting-edge Technology
Our virtual classrooms are equipped with the latest technology to enhance your child’s learning journey.

Trauma-Informed Approach
We understand and support the unique needs of neurodiverse children with a compassionate and trauma-informed approach.

Personalised Curriculum
Each child receives a tailored curriculum that caters to their individual strengths and interests.

Bespoke Mentoring
Our mentors are an integral part of our offering in helping to support our children. They will help them build trusting relationships in educational environments as well as in the community.

Included Therapies
We believe that all children benefit from EFT (emotionally focused therapy) and talking therapy/counselling. However, we can also offer SALT (speech and language therapy), OT (occupational therapy), Art and Music Therapy. In addition, if the EHCP  (Education, Health and Care plan) states that the young person requires a specialist assessment, we would charge as needed.

Enrichment
A variety of online activities will be on offer, dependant on the interests of the children.

We will always try to facilitate preferred activities, even if they are not in the current curriculum.

Preparing for adulthood
We set outcomes from KS4 in employment
1. Employment
2. Independent Living
3. Community Inclusion
4. Health
5. Career Guidance
6.  Work Experience

As their sense of safety, self and success grows, children may feel able to engage in face-to-face learning. We are able to guide them through our education pathways as their confidence grows.
